The Proposal

Here's how we got to this point....

Kwun surprised Courtney by flying to Chicago to propose.  Courtney was in Chicago for a conference so she never suspected a thing.  Kwun knew this of course which was much to his advantage.  Since he proposed to her in a restaurant (Blackbird....which both highly recommend even if you aren't planning on any proposals) she was compelled to say yes which resulted in much applause.  Perhaps the ring played a part in that answer as well.

Shortly after said proposal and acceptance, both jumped in full force to this thing called wedding planning.  They were momentarily depressed when after looking at the "to do" list on TheKnot.com it said they had 190 things left to do within 12 months.  They started checking things off the list twice just to feel good about themselves.  Finding the location has been the biggest challenge thus far.  First, both had to determine the where of the event.  Would it be New York, Pennsylvania or Omaha?  Eventually (perhaps others were thinking "just make a decision already!") both decided on Omaha.

The date.....

Late Spring/Early Summer was the ideal, however, there is this thing called The College World Series that Omaha hosts every year.  It is held the last two weeks in June and, well, good luck finding a reasonable rate for hotels!  So, at this point, July 3rd is seeming to be "the date" (fingers crossed).  More to come on that when both return to Omaha from Brooklyn.
